The Artists’ Cooperative Gallery invites local High School Art Teachers to display work of their advanced students as part of the gallery’s outreach program. We have designated a wall in our small gallery to accommodate two-dimensional artwork and two pedestals to accommodate three-dimensional works. The selected student artwork would be on display for approximately one month, with the school’s name, teacher’s name and contact number. There will be no cost to the school or to students to participate.
The gallery wall provided is approximately 9 feet by 9 feet with suitable lighting.
Accepted artwork should be matted with white or black mats, with typed name tags attached, front and back, to each piece. Information on the tag should include the name of the student, the school, and the art teacher, as well as the title and media. Artwork must be ready to hang, (See Hanging Requirements below.)
The Artists’ Cooperative Gallery will not offer student artwork for sale. However, we will provide the art teacher’s name and contact information to seriously interested parties. The Artists’ Cooperative will not be responsible for any loss or damage of student artwork.
Selected artwork must be delivered during regular gallery hours, no later than the last Sunday of the month before the show. The art teacher will hang/display the work on the Sunday before the show’s assigned month. The works must be picked up at the end of that assigned month during regular gallery hours.
Each piece of work must have a parental permission form signed by the student’s parent or legal guardian. These forms must be presented to the ACG representative before the show is hung. An inventory sheet will be provided to the art teacher by the ACG to inventory the show. The completed student inventory sheet will also be given to the ACG representative before the show is hung.
